Germany is the first in pool A and Ecuador second, England is first in pool B and Sweden second. In pool C Argentina and the Netherlands tie with both seven points but the 6-0 victory from argentina over serbia makes them the first from pool C and the Netherlands second. In pool D Mexico finished second after Portugal.
these results making the scheme for the first 4 games in the 8th finals:
Saturday 24 June 17:00 Germany - Sweden
and 21:00 Argentina - Mexico
Sunday 25 June 17:00 England - Ecuador
and 21:00 Portugal - Netherlands

Todays games: Czech - Italy, Ghana - USA, Japan - Brazil and Kroatia - Australia.
 
Im working during Germany - Sweden, thats a pitty.
Who will win germany or sweden? And from Netherlands - Portugal who will win there?
 
yeh i saw it coming...unfourtunate though they really tried. i think the biggest surprise for me was Ghana going through which was a complete shock, that and Australia going through. while i knew they could do it, i dont think their performance so far has justified their position, hopefully they will prove me wrong.
 
Australia getting through was obvious, their coach is damn good, Guus Hiddink got South Korea and the Netherlands to the half finals of a world cup, he will do it with Australia again. i hope it for him at least.
WELL, important the Dutch national anthem has started, i have to watch Netherlands - Portugal
 
Italy 1 - Australia 0

:mad: :( , the game was very tense, especially the second half as Italy was playing with 10 people. Unfortunately, with literally seconds left 'till extra time the ref made a bad call and Italy got a penalty shot in.

Bloody depresses me, not just Australia losing, but losing like that from a ref's bad call!
 
today will be a fun game, Ghana vs Brazil, i have much respect for Ghana as all their games have been creative and fun to watch, but will the be able to cut it against the footballing giants of Brazil? tune in and find out ;)

ps Switzerland 0 - Ukraine 0, Ukraine win on pentalty shoot out. most boring game ever!!!! Switzerland failed to score, on the other hand they are the only team ever to have been knocked out not conceding a goal during play for the whole tournament.
 
Italy beat Germany 2 - 0!!

Amazing goals, both scored in the last 2 minutes of over time!!!

So it will be Italy vs. (Portugal vs. France)

Portugal vs. France will play later to day... like in 2.5 hours..

We will see the outcome
