you seem to have misplaced this model:
Category: Orc, Human, Dwarf, Pandaren, High Elf, Blood Elf, Structures, Plants, Rocks, Decoration, Goblin
it shouldnt be at least in the plants & rocks category...
you could do the exact same thing with 108 polys, ofc the texture would be wrapped slightly differently, but other than that way too much polys.

Dude you could make a box model with 8 vertices( 6 faces )

that would be 12 polys.
BUT this one has the inner sides too (dl the model and look at the shape to understand), for that you need a minimum of 108 polys to have the same quality mesh as this model does.
the only difference other than filesize and number of polys would be the wrap and therefore also the looks of the model.
