I have read a lot of tutorials today. But I still encounter a problem I can´t solve.

I downloaded Ladik's MPQeditor. I opened the SC2:BW Mod and extracted the following files:

dragoon_diffuse.dds
dragoon_emissive.dds
dragoon_normal.dds
dragoon_specular.dds

Dragoon.m3
DragoonDeath.m3

I import them into my test map. I have tried a lot of things from different tutorials, but the model always shows up white in the editor and ingame.

Of course it is hard for you to tell me exactly what to do since I have not described exactly what I have done.

Any idea what might be the problem?

Did you place the textures at the correct path? How else will the model know where to find them unless they are where it expects them. Ofcourse you can use the data editor to specify alternative textures like the dark protoss buildings but I do not think it works for all layers.

When I open a map from the Sc2BW mod and view the Dragoon in the viewer, the .m3 file for the dragoon uses this path: assets\units\protoss\dragoons

When I click on dragoon_diffuse.dds it shows no path.

Is there any way I can find more information from the previewer?

Based on the dragoons .m3 path, how shall the paths of the skin look like?

Have you tried restarting your editor after importing it? Just to refresh the data caches etc. Also check ingame if the problem persisits.

Check the model data for the unit incase its texture declerations are there.

Next to that you will probably have to contact the model authors for technical support.
