Why does my WE keep freezing up?

I figured the problem was Vista, anyway i can make it so it will stop freezing up on me? like when i save a map, it goes to progress, and anywhere it will just stop, then my mouse will freeze, and ill have to restart my CPU.

Yea i just tried i cant even save a map anymore, i restarted my CPU and still doesnt work. This is pissing me off.

umm i reinstalled my whole warcraft stuff, and. Im still getting the same problem. When it gets to "Loading custom data" it freezes (this is WE).

And when i try to open the ultimate terrain map, it says error custom stuff like that.


wtf anyone know whats wrong?


im tired, ive worked on this for 4 hours...

Do you use original WE?
Do you have the latest patch? TFT is installed? Have you tried creating a new map, saving that one and loading it? Perhaps there's just something wrong with your map?

urgh, that means you have to upgrade to Beta1.

The simple fact that you're using Vista is the explanation to many problems you might have with games.

You could try to reinstall, but I doubt it works.

Reinstalling won't work, you might try to install Windows XP SP2 aswell. I think I will make this aswell.

I had Vista before, had the same problem, but Warcraft kept freezing instead, I installed XP, spat on Vista and now Warcraft works...
