BTW: tag = the spell
i posted the obj editor just in case problem was there.
It works just like i want it, except the unit that casts the ability cannot move after the spell.:thumbs_down: im sure it's an easy fix, but i do not know how to do it. help would be great :thumbs_up:.

and yes i realize the comment isn't necessary and neither is the pick every unit in unit group function i could just say triggering unit, but i wasn't thinking about it.

You wrote "target unit of ability being cast" both times.

One of them should probably be "triggering unit"

no, because it say owner of target unit for one and the unit itself the other. i want them both.

the unit that casts the spell isn't paused either, he just cant move anywhere and also cannot turn to face anything just like he's paused. just saying that before somebody asks.
 
Oh my mistake, i misread it.

Above "add tag to ITunit" write "wait .1 seconds", just for grins I'm curious if that fixes it.

its okay:P and no that didnt, and when i added 3 second wait to see if it could move until the wait was up, it did not move even before the wait was up. but +rep for trying.

and if it helps anybody the spell is based on the Firebolt (neutral Hostile) spell.

EDIT: fixed!! thanks Cokemonkey11 i played around with that wait and it helped. i had to add the wait before removing the ability. Although if some would elaborate why this worked, i would be very appreciative.

i guess the better event is "starts and effect"...

you said it is a firebolt right? you could the better event is "starts an effect"...
i dont understand really your point but...

i guess the variable IT is not needed...

remove that action..only the ITunit,
after that do not add wait, proceed to pick every unit..
(matching unit) NOT EQUAL to ITunit..
-remove Tag from (picked unit)

add Tag to ITunit

i guess thats what you need?
 
I remembered the problem because I've had a similar one before. Blizzard doesn't like you adding and removing the same spell from/to the same unit.

That wait will RUIN THE MUI of your spell though, so you might want to look at an alternative solution.

yeah well blizzard can suck it. and i tested it with friends and it seems to work fine for me so unless i encounter a problem, im alright:)
