I dont know what to do...
i have two skins here...freehand as allways...
but I did it in 512x512,when i reduce to 256 its realy bland...loses a whole lot of details...

also I dont know what to do to cape,the chest(add armor or not... and the thing on the back...anyone wana help?...
 
the better the program is you use, the better the shrinked version looks. I am using paint shop pro 7 and it never gave me that bad results when shrinking images. 512² to 256² shouldn't be such a problem, try using another program..
