What does hallucinating have to do with death though? Seem to be more relations towards alien abductions, dreaming and near-death-experiences, do note- near-death. Of course, that would mean you should experience a dream-like sensation before dying, but that does not mean you feel the death itself. I'm being difficult. :D

At the moment of death your body releases dimethyltryptamine. DMT is a naturally-occurring tryptamine and potent psychedelic drug, found not only in many plants, but also in trace amounts in the human brain. Your dreams are a production of DMT. Why you think people who had near experiences say they have seen things?

When you sleep you produce a small amount of DMT, when your dieing or near death you produces an extrodinary amount of it. Budist monks spend all there life learning how to control chemicals in there brain, so they can release them to achieve "enlightenment". DMT is like seeing god or some bs like that, they belive that anyway.

So... basically, this DMT shit actually makes us think we're falling asleep, not dying? What about myoclonic jerks? Their function is to, literally, 'jerk' the body out of death, and may happen if you're really exhausted and try to sleep.

myoclonic's are neurologic disorders so I don't see how that would effect everyone. There just random jerks from what I have read. I know some of them are not neurolohical disorders like hiccups but that has nutthing to do with sleeping.

And DMT makes you halucinate to such an extent (while dying) that you don't feel pain and such.

Also there is a movie coming out about it, so if your interested I recomened dling. Don't remeber the name you would have to search for it.

well you cant know what is death only if you die...
the experience you might go through is uncomprehensible to human thinking
so it may be something you couldnt understand or explain

Death to me is something that you get once you have completed everything you had to in a life time. I don't believe in heaven or hell or anything like that. I believe more in destiny, if you die it's because it was meant to be, it was just your time to leave this realm.

It's not something to be afraid about though.

Death is strange yet oh so familiar.

That would pretty much make 'partied hard' as synonym to 'live' .. and then we're back at ground zero.

Aye, but saying that death is the end is not bringing it further, while providing a theory of what happens afterwards, that is a step further.
