whacked out glitch

hi me again. this time my problem is that i have some upgrades that use the unit availibility change feature, and whenever i try to select a building ingame that trains on of the units affected by the upgrades, warcraft quits. wtf.

Units have a field:

Techtree - Dependency Equivalents

Make sure that the units you replace have in this field the units they are to be replaced with and vice versa.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, look at Troll Headhunter and Troll Beserker's dependency equivalents fields.

try removing those things. are you sure your not using Jass NewGen pack? Its getting pretty buggy since the new patch. just use standard editor, it makes it not crash and just wait t'ill another newgen update

If they both reference each other as dependency equivalents, it will crash the game. Make sure one references the other, but the other does not reference the first one back.

ok that makes sense. ty +rep one weird thing tho, one of the buildings was selectable w/out the game crashing. weird

It crashes when you attempt to display it in a game menu (ie on your command card). The problem is that the game gets into an infinite loop when attempting to determine what on your techtree should be enabled.
