Add more shading, sharpen and emphasize everything so your icons don't look so blurry and undefined. Creating icons is different from creating larger pictures. It basically doesn't matter how your big picture looks, but how your icon looks.

I suggest you to increase the definition, make the details more visible, use more color variation, and shade it.
In the actual state it's too simple and vague.
