Greetings and good day to you again, dear and respectable fellow WarCrafters!

I am looking for someone (or even more persons), who would be willing and would like to work on and finish with me the following project which I have started and (due to lack of time) stopped to work upon in 2021:

WARCRAFT: RECRAFTED
- Project summary -

PROJECT NAME:

Warcraft: Recrafted.

PROJECT CATEGORY:
Original Warcraft campaign maps transformed into a RPS with an option for a multiplayer gameplay and with a more realistic setting and lore refinement of the campaign missions.

PROJECT AUTHOR
(based upon work of:
Blizzard Entertainment):
- author: Martinus.

PROJECT CONCEPTION:
2021.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project is focused on the recreation of the Warcraft III, Warcraft II and Warcraft I campaigns´maps in Warcraft III with an introduction or improvement of a realistic, logical and rational approach to:
-gameplay, which results in conversion of the maps into an RPS game (similar to the alpha version of the Warcraft III),
-multiplayer option to experience the game in a sense of "2-player campaign" (in this case up to 6 players),
- story, which results in a more logically built and comprehensive lore and world´s setting,
while trying to stay true to the point and essence of each campaign map.

The concrete maps to work upon are the following:
WC - Recrafted (logo).jpg
  • Maps concerned: Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos: Campaign maps.
  • Map category: RPS and Co-RPS.
  • Story setting: Original Warcraft III: ROC campaign story setting.
  • Exemplary gameplay changess:
    • No base and army building:
      • Increases the importance of items and their management.
      • Increases a need to tactic with units due to inability to replace them with new ones (except by situational lore-friendly means or events).
    • No hero revival (except by specific item usage or by special lore-friendly means in certain maps).
    • All units and heroes have all abilities (no leveling and abilities upgrades) to increase variability of the gameplay and to provide a possibility to experience a greater diversity of gameplay scenarios.
    • Hero ultimate abilities are changed on normal 3 tier abilities to increase variabilty of the gameplay and to provide a possibility to experience a greater diversity of gameplay scenarios.
    • Factions and their names are corrected (where needed) to correspond lore-wise.
  • Multiplayer option (player count): From 1 to (in the project currently designed) 6.
  • Map Thinkers: Due to the change in gameplay, map content will have to be changed. I need help to think out, how some (or each) of the original campaign maps should be changed (what changes for the sake of realism and lore) while the essence of each map is preserved.
  • Trigger Editors: Few persons well knowledgeable and skilled in setting triggers:
    • Helping with setting of AI and other changes to provide gaming experience as described above.
Realism: Under socio-economic conditions of this kind of society (medieval technology and feudal relations), regular villagers would not have a full metal armor and arms at their disposal, thus only milita is provided to the player in case of Thornby and his fellow villagers. // Lore: Arthas and (considering the situation: no other Alliance member (due to the level of threat/force which is expected to be faced in this mission) has assigned its forces for this military operation) his men are forces of the Kingdom of Lordaeron, thus under the white colors (from Warcraft II perspective). However, this may be disputed due to (in my itteration) Strahnbrad is on the Alterac territory, thus falling under the Alliance control (if it was not given its autonomy (which was taken from it by force due to their actions in the Second War) back), thus the nearest Kingdoms (Stromgarde (Dalaran has only magical combatants and for the other Alliance members the expenses to deploy forces abroad for such a small mission and considering a short amount of time due to the urgency to act) might have provided its forces in a joint-mission, but this can be disputed due to the fact that it is stated (in the WC3 manual and also in general lore that Stromgarde has - in this time - quite withdrawn itself from the Alliance.
Realism: An army on military campaign would not construct a whole town with an advanced civilian and military infrastructure (town hall, famrs, barracks, a national monument (Altar of Kings)...) while (considering an expected level of the threat faced) making a small and short deployment. // Lore: It (probably) was not a larger Kingdom of Lordaeron military unit being deployed, thus just a medium garrison is stationed in this base.
Realism: A hunting party would not build building (blacksmith) while wandering the lands. // Lore: Outlanders (dwarves) might not have it allowed to construct permanent structures in human crown lands.

Realism: A mere acolyte-level sorcerors would not be powerful enough to perform such an energy demanding spell as (in case of teleportation) a transport from the other side of the world (Northrend) or (in case of materialisation) construction of the building is. // Lore: The undead does not need a gold mine: the Scourge minions are not wage workers who are to be payed for their performances.
Realism: A small armed group (considering an assignment for this mission was to investigate home locations) would not construct a whole town with an advanced civilian and military infrastructure (town hall, famrs, barracks, a national monument (Altar of Kings)...) and while being on the move (there was not a larger opponent force known to the group command (Arthas) for it to establish a fortified encampment while also lacking a personel to perform such an economically demanding task) . // Lore: Units from the previous mission(s) are at the player´s/players´ disposal in the next missions.
Realism: (To be added.) // Lore: (To be added.)

This main post will be (if the project will continue to evolve) progressively textually and graphically updated with information about project description (expansion or precisation of an acrual one) and project development status. Notes about those of such updates, which will more significantly change the content of this main post, will be listed in the "spoiler" section below (in the foot of this main post) named "Thread editions" for your overview about the changes.

I am looking forward to your potential interest.
