Hello guys! I am R23 and I am here to pitch in a very complex, but worthwhile, fun idea for a new SC2 campaign. I've been told this will be a large undertaking given the limits of the SC2 engine, and will take loads of time, but it's best to lay down the canvas and outlines before painting the art, to put it mildly. I've been told to create this myself, so I will try my best to learn how to create this custom campaign, if time permits me. If I am not able to, I'll have at least posted it and hope that someone can make this reality in the foreseeable future. For now, here is what I have planned.
This campaign aims to bring the entire Warcraft 3 campaign to Starcraft 2. Unlike Azeroth Reborn, however, the characters, factions, locations, and lore is themed towards Starcraft. For instance, Prince Arthas is an advanced terran soldier combatting a 'swarm' of Zerg invading the planet Lordaeron, and Thrall is the protoss Warchief who leads his people, regardless of their religion or beliefs, to a new planet to colonize and call home after a chance encounter with an unknown being about the a grim future. This is not just a race swap, it's a re-telling of Warcraft 3 if Azeroth instead is the entire solar system.
Note: Due to character limits, I have created a text document with all details, it's very long. The google doc is subject to change, as I want to give the full setting of where this campaign will take place, especially taking into consideration that I have 3 races to deal with in SC2 as compared to WC3's four races. Unlike the latter, it is complemented with differing factions, and I plan to include some of the SC2-related keywords and lore as well in the campaign, within reason.
I've laid the summary here at least, so feel free to reply and share your thoughts. If you are interested also in helping me create it, please let me know, I'll need all the assistance I can get. Thank you guys for your time.
