Dunno if this is widely know, but wc3 supports 1440p resolution, in 16:9 ratio. You can force nvidia control panel to set your resolution to something your monitor won't natively allow.
(i've translated it by myself, might be a bit off)
1. Go to Nvidia control panel
2. Go to Monitor>Desktop size & location adjustment
3. Go to size tab > Allow changing the desktop size
4. Go to Resolution > Modify/Customize/Something under the reso list...
5. "Create new resolution..."
6. Horizontal pixels: 2560 / Vertical: 1440
7. Test
8. Press OK
9. Select 2560 x 1440 from ur reso list.
10. Hit Apply
In Warcraft III, go to Options>Video>There should be 1440p at the bottom of the list, choose it.
Difference:
Not that big of a change... at all... but hey at least it improves wc3 quality by like... 0.0000%
