I still use the very first version of it.

Simply update WC3 to the lattest version. The WE is included with all the updates and honestly, it is pointless running an old version as the newer ones have NOCD included with them which saves a lot on starting times for both WE and WC3.

are you talking realy about a new editor or some addons? cause if you are talking about addons theres jassnewgen pack, unfortunately it only works with v1.21 but its real usefull and hopefully they will update it to work with 1.22
