vertex animation

according to warcraft 3 art tools manual, vertice animation is not supported. and yet i saw some people able to make models with vertex movement. how is this possible?

Would you mind specifying on which model you saw that?
It might be that a bone is set onto a single vertex, which may cause this kind of effect.

well, maybe you gave the right explanation. i am not sure either.

Ah, well.
This might be thing: Putting a bone on every vertex, but it is high inefficient due to amount of bones.
