Uploaded file gets deleted even if changes not saved?!

Is this Xenforo default? Honestly just terrible.
If I edit a post, and delete an attachment, but then don't press "Save Changes" (i made a mistake) the uploaded file is still gone and can't be restored.
What the fuck?
There isn't even a confirmation "do you rly want to delete this forever" - it's just gone.
But when you upload a file, you have to "Save Changes" in order for it to be added.

Adding a confirmation dialog to deleting should resolve this, but I guess you won't invest any more work before moving to XF2 ?

Hohoho. Probably not. We've been on XF1 since 2015 and this is the first complaint. I have spent weeks making the search system of resources on XF2 much better because I have received 10s of complaints about that .

Yes, one of those complaints was also mine.
This was just a very annoying case, where I thought the file wasn't deleted, but it was, so there was no download available for 2 weeks.
