[JASS] Trigonometric Functions

is there a function for arcSin, and arcCos.

I'm trying to solve for an angle in a triangle.

native Sin      takes real radians returns real
native Asin     takes real y returns real
native Cos      takes real radians returns real
native Acos     takes real x returns real

I think they all return in radians.

native Atan2 takes real y, real x returns real

EDIT: Bah, purge beat me to it. And yeah, its all radians, but if you need degrees, multiply by bj_RADTODEG

Yeah, I haven't tried it but there is also:

native Deg2Rad  takes real degrees returns real
native Rad2Deg  takes real radians returns real

But I don't know which method is faster.

I seriously wish I could get the stopwatch natives to work, I think you need an older grimoire version.

In computer programming languages the functions arcsin, arccos, arctan, are usually called asin, acos, atan.

I use JASSCraft to write my code, so I would have figured it out sooner or later.

function calls are slower than multiplication by a constant.

So are other languages, but C, Java, etc, use lowercase function names, mostly anyways.

I think he needs Atan(y,x) (returns real radians)
to convert to degrees Blabla*bj_RADTODEG is faster than Rad2Deg(Blabla)

Need_O2, Atan only has one parameter; you're thinking of Atan2.
