Hello! Since the author has refused to do any fixes for this model I will set it permanently to Lacking. Anyone should feel free to port this model correctly. Thank you.

Hello! I've downloaded your model, did some testing and I can offer my review.

Ported Models must work when imported into a map without any kind of additional model editing.

Required for approval:
- Walk Fast must be the default Walk animation ,you can remove or rename Walk to Walk Alternate
This can be fixed with the MdlVis App

Other than that the model works and performs well ingame. Great quality overall, all the extra work you've added is amazing!

If you need assistance feel free to ask me anytime!

Let me show these to explain why model should keep walk fast and walk both (or why don't have to remove walk).

A Unit with actual speed 300 > run speed setting 285 (set in WE, see image below), it uses walk fast as you see

When unit slow down to < 222 speed (walk speed value set in WE, see image below), it uses different animations walk.

Many WOW models have mutiple walk mode animations people can utilize them some situation to do performance author wants, You don't have to remove one of them.

How to set the speed related animations to perform different walk modes:
Actual speed<Walk (WE value), Do the walk anim
Actual speed>Walk fast (WE value), Do the walk fast anim

We talked in private about including a separate version, optimized with only basic animations. Are you using google translate?

We talked about this in private, we agreed I can send you in private an optimized version of the model and you would add it as a separate download without giving me anything in return. Now you changed your mind. If you think my request for approval is unjust, you may submit a ticket, otherwise I wish you a good day

In the case of the Stitches port I think there was an issue with the way it was originally ported. Normally the 0.01 difference keyframe reduction is fine and required to pass Hive's sanity check. Of course people should check post-removal to make sure there are no issues. As you say it can be dangerous if there are issues with an imperfect port of the model.

Let me show these to explain why model should keep walk fast and walk both (or why don't have to remove walk).

Thank you this is a very detailed and illustrative explanation of this feature. I think Navys is looking for an alternative version of models to be provided that hit around a 1-1.5 Megabyte target size for each model but he can clarify what the target size is per model.

Also please note we ( Europe + Americas) call this guy Thorim so you may want to rename or add this name to the title of the post. This way people can easily find him when searching the ported models section.

To have this model set to approved please do the following changes or include an alternate download with the following changes:

1. Walk and Walk fast are too slow for Warcraft 3 - rename them to Cinematic Walk and Cinematic Walk 2
2. Make a copy of Walk Fast, rename to Walk and increase the animation lengths by scaling to 0.8 or 0.7
3. Attack 1 - doesn't fit - needs removed
4. Spell Throw is not Spell Throw - just an Attack variation - needs removed
5. Attack 3 is just Attack and Rarity set to 0
6. Attack 2 is correct
7. Attack 4 is Attack 3
8. Spell 2 is Spell
9. Spell 1 is Spell Throw
10. Spell Channel is Stand Channel
11. Spell Ready is a duplicate of Stand Channel - needs removed
12. Spell Ready 2 is Stand Channel 2
13. All Cinematic animations need removed
14. Attachment Points need to be fixed; all extra need to be removed
15. Model name ingame is Thorim and all file names should be for ex. Thorim.mdx , Thorim_Body.blp
16. Model needs to be rescaled to have similar scale to a Warcraft 3 Hero/Unit (all attachment points need to be removed before and added back after rescaling)
17. Optimization:
  • .mdx file with MdlVis and TRMS (keyframes simplify 0.0006 removal)
  • .blp files set to 95% quality
  • Total filesize reduction: 2.44Mb down from 3.91Mb

Please refer to the Model Submission Rules for more information on how a resource should be properly submitted (in this case resource description)

Resource Submission Rules (Models, skins, icons, spells & systems)

"A proper description must go along with the bundle. The description must describe what resources are in the bundle and how they can be used.
You have to provide information about the model, if it's ported from another game or a custom creation.

(You can start with sharing which Blizzard Game was the model ported from and what the it represents in that game)
