The Endless War BETA V4

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
The Endless War

Map Details:
  • Castle Defense with a Castle feel!
  • Uses new systems coded from scratch.
  • Socket Items

How to play:

  • Click on your barracks to choose what type of unit you want,
  • At the start you are limited to 4 units at 1 time per player.
  • Weapons may seem weak, but they upgrade. Every kill adds one upgrade point to the item.
  • The enemy will attack from the north, towards the gates.
  • Use your units to defend your castle but beware there are bandits amidst.
  • The bandits will build towers to scale your castle walls and sneak in from the side.
  • Your main objective is to live for 7 days.
  • You can buy "gems" from the miner by the mines to the left of the castle to upgrade your weapons further!




  • Fix to the hold position bug (Still buggy, unit attack animation bugs but unit stays where its at! Done)
  • Fix gates. (Done)
  • Fix buying items. (Done)
  • Fix heal tooltip.
  • Change towers. (Done)
  • Fix bandits spawn times(Done)
  • Fix "Day old units" (Done)
  • Add Quests.
  • Add F9 Info.
  • Create Crest "Heroes" (1/24)
  • Add enemy spells.
  • Find a terrainer to clean up the map.
  • Make Gems easier to acquire.

Can you specify which user actually MADE the music?

Edit: Towers have bad health
Edit: Archers are disobedient, when i make them hold positon they just later on move.
Edit: It was pretty boring after day 3 or something.

The general idea is good but how you`ve done it so far is horrible. The terrain is horrible, the towers doesn`t attack, only 3 units with 1 evolution. Same with items. When you want to open one gate both of them opens. Attackers doesn`t have skills what makes the map just boring after some time - the same waves again and again... And generally it`s way too easy.

Like for now the map can get max 1/5. Work at this map coz it has a little bit of potential.

That was a bug fix for the Gemmed weapons. Trying to find another fix...

It will get more interesting after you get heroes and more quests to do.

The main object of releasing this beta was to find bugs and test the concept of the map.

Towers need archers to attack, Will be outlined next update.

A new crest system will be developed, allowing ~24 new possible heroes. 8 heroes a class.

I will make gates open separately.

There are 7 different waves... Did you play through it at all? Maybe thats why you thought it was easy...



impossible, but can be nice after some updates. dont make the units get inside the walls, make gates at more places so they get in there too instead. and 4 units is too low. btw the bow deals the same dmg as new bow.....



You can have 8 units, and its 24 units when there are 8 players, you cannot play this map solo.

Did you notice the new bow was making a red number appear above the units heads? It's based on kills made by this new bow.

No it didn't. There was no red numbers above the heads. We played 4 players and we never got the ability to have 8 units.

There are no units variations. That are the same units in different nubers (you change unit types only)

I found a glitch where on day 2 it still sends day 1's units. I will be fixing that soon...

Here are the units that spawn each day:
Day 1:
10 x Footmen
5 x Archer

Day 2:
10 x Raiders
5 x Huntress'

Day 3:
10 x Tauren
20 x Headhunters

Day 4:
10 x Kodo Beasts
5 x Abominations
3 x Mortar Teams

Day 5:
20 x Mountain Giants
5 x Dark Ranger
5 x Glaive Throwers

Day 6:
10 x Pit Lord
10 x Naga Sea Witch
5 x Meat Wagon

Day 7:
10 x Deathlord
20 x Broodmother
If bandit lord was not defeated:
1 x Bandit Lord
??? x Bandits (Value is determined by amount of bandits alive)

So there is variation, unless you mean something else by this?

quests? there was no quests... and we cant go out if it was outside as we keep getting attacked

They were outside and the bandit attacks are going to be reduced and the crest system will take a little while to produce.
