The actual video element, with the guy drawing, was distracting, as was the narrator's fast-talk.

I actually quite liked the artistic quality of this video. It actually helped me understand the concept better.
However, I think the idea of an empathic civilization seems so unreal because humans are incapable of being empathetic towards every other humans or creatures. We pick and chose who/what we're empathic towards. This video overly simplified everything....but it was pretty interesting.
