The Brutes version 1.0.0 is a map based on the original game called "My Brute". Although the map is based on the website game, its very different because you have total control of your unit and over the battles you undergo in the arena.

The other thing in the map that makes it different from the original game and other arena maps is that you can save your brute and use it in later games to further develop it.

Items can be bought with Arena Points that are won in battles that take place in the arena.

Commands

-new (Creates a new brute)
-save (Saves your current brute)
-load (Loads the desired brute into the game)
-challenge 1-12 (Challenges a player)
Note: the save/load commands are disabled to prevent abuses influenced by the map being unbalanced.

Other things that might interest you can be found in the map.

NOTE THAT THIS IS STILL A BETA TEST AND YOU MIGHT ENCOUNTER BUGS. IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY PLEASE REPORT THEM ALONGSIDE YOUR OPINION ABOUT THE MAP.

Oke, I tested it for you.

Terrain: 1/10
This is a joke right? The terrain does not even exist except for some cliffs. Add doodads, make it look less linear. As for now it's just plain crap.

Player Friendly: 1/10
I know the game brutes, but we had no idea what the fuck to do. Add information for example in the loading screen, at the start of the game. As an additional bonus you should add tips people can turn off. Just don't spam them.

Gameplay: 2/10

You get a point because you get control of a villager, but I mean come on! There was nothing for us to do. We just walked around and got tired. Could not test your items either, I hope for you they contain item models to customize yourself.

Triggers: -

It was protected, so I could not see if you cleaned leaks or if your coding was good.
Not that it seems there were much triggers as almost nothing happened.

Other: -
Other area's that can improve your map is art. You had no map preview, no special loading screen and gold was resembled by an annoying icon with a border. Don't use bordered icons for that. It looks plain ugly.
You should also add single player support, as of now it supports nothing. Did you even alpha test it with some friends?

Overal Score: 1.3 / 10
Plain bad. I'm sorry to be this strict but it's the truth.
Instead of being mad you should:
- Make a terrain, add doodads etc.
- Show some information about the game (and not in quest log as nobody reads that.)
- Make it playable?

There are tons of things to improve this map. But you'll have to do some serious work.
If you actually improve the map I might test it again and see if your map has become any better.

The terrain is not entirely done yet and it will be improved with further versions.

At the player friendly part well there are some tips in Map Info(F10), and the loading screen is not done yet ... the dude that has to design it has some exams to pass so that might take a while and in game tips need to be finished (they are in the map) but they are not done.

Well if you test it you need to be in multiplayer because you need at least 2 players to fight (This takes us to the single player part, that will not be made at all because you can abuse it while playing online because after you are tired of playing you save your brute and you can play in other games). And yeah item models will be added (for now only weapons have this feature).

Triggers well they are crap now (by my standards at least because i had to take some shortcuts (planned to change most of the systems to jass in the very near future)) but they will be improved, actually i am improving everything as i write this.

Map Preview will be added, loading screen will be added, that icon is just for the pre release maps and alpha tests were made only with the main systems (believe me that alpha tests would have sucked because there was no terrain at all).

PS: again i tell you i will not add SP support ...

NoAmmoSrry

Its actually 60 percent now, there were many things that needed work and are done now...

A loading screen does not have to take longer then 30 min.

Step 1: Print screen something that fits your map. (I usually make a image in a different map about my map.
Step 2: In photoshop make a new layer 0f 800x600 or 1024x768 depending on the size of your screenshot etc. I usually use 800x600.
Step 3: Paste the image and put it so that it looks nice.
Step 4: Add some text and add some layers (inner shadow and outer glow work nice).
Step 5: Save as Photoshop so you can edit later.
Step 6: Resize to 512x512 and save as tga.
Step 7: Convert to blp and profit.

Well yeah i know how to add one but the one i thought about is hand drawn :)
Here's the idea: A battle that takes place in the middle of the arena 2 heavily geared brutes fight alongside their pets (yeah i added pets)...
