The amount of units with imported models problem

Hello, I am new to this forum and I have a simple question... I started to work on a custom map where units with imported models were needed, and when I put a little more of these units into the map (approximately 100) the map started to lag hard. It isn't caused by triggers as I disabled them all while thinking of a solution, and it isn't in the hardware of my computer - 100 and more normal wc3 units are handled easily. I used a series of models not just one, each one was about 80 kb large. So is the usage of imported models harder to process by the game engine or something? And is there any way to avoid this lag while using such an amount of units with custom models?

Thanks for the answers

100 models of 80 kb is way to much. U better try to make youre whole mapsize less then 8. specialy when u want it to be multiplayer then it will lag when the map size is to big
