Hello Hive!
I'm planning to make a new custom melee map, where i allow the player when choosing one of the 4 default factions to have an option to choose a subfaction similar to C&C Zero Hour
The current plan is:
Human: Silverhand (Human units only), Quel'thalas (Elven Units), and torn between either Dalaran to focus on magic or ironforge to represent dwarves and mining
Undead: Cult of the Damned (Focuses on necromancers), Forsaken, and Demonic
Night Elves: Sentinels, Cenarion Circle, and Watchers
Orcs: Orcish Clans, Darkspear Trolls, and Tauren Tribes
The main problem im having, is that most of these factions wil use similar units but rebalanced for each factions, which makes making a custom unit for each faction a nightmare. For example, lets say Quel'thalas and Dalaran both use the default priest with no changes, do i have to manually add a priest training upgrade for each faction so it requires the respective castle, altar etc or is there a smarter/faster way of doing it?
