This doesn't look like freehand, more like different textures pasted onto Arthas and a few simple recolours. I mean just take a look at the texture for a second; parts of it have different image quality, the cape looks like a resize my laptop's background image and the armor looks like something out of WoW. Even the book wasn't even painted properly, just recoloured blue then pasted Stormwind's icon on top.
