Open a map,

  • right click and

  • select "copy"

  • Don't get out of the editor, and open your map.

  • Right click - "paste"

When you copy a trigger, the required variables are not created (so you have to make all the variables again).
To solve this,

  • Click "File"

  • "Preferences"

  • check the box "automatically create unknown variables when pasting trigger data"

If thats not what your asking, then I don't know what is.

ain't there a double window or something?

That's not really a double window, but you can.

If you open a new map on the WE wirhout closing the one you were on previously, that one will stay open (but only the new map is visible).

To switch maps, you just need to go to "Window" and you'll have the list of open maps. You just need to click on one to switch maps.

Like this, you won't load the map datas (the little loading at starting when you open a map) more than once for each map. It can be very useful if your map take long to load.

You can work on different aspects of the map separately.

Use file -> export object data, then import it to a blank map, and add the new spells there. When you're done, export it from there and import to the actual map, overwriting the old version.

This way you don't have to load the terrain/triggers each time.

You can similarly also work on triggers separately.
