[Spell] Barricades

Hey guys, I'm working on a future-based map that involves large gun fights, with weapons randing from flamethrowers to rifles.

I was wondering if anybody would like to try a system that has a chance for a barricade to take damage instead of the unit behind it. If you could too, make it so it is all angle, ranged and attack type based. So if a unit with a siege based attack damage attacks it, the units behind it will take X amount of the damage, well the barricades take alot of the blow.

do something like when units gets x damage it will be transfered to barricade and instant heal to unit if only the unit is somewhere in x region near barricade

or something like that this was only suggestion

but there would be still problem that barrice should get damage?

Well the best way is to make an MUI missile system.

To check if the "missile" has hit the wall, you make the wall a destructable and you check the next point (if pathing is off == false). then else, etc.

Then when the missile hits the wall you just pick every destructable in range and damage them

Simple :D

Well acually my friend made a GUI version that checks for the projectile and damages the blockade infront of the unit. I'd use it, but like most GUI its horribly ineffective and leaks like crazy. If you want to see how he did I'll attach the map
