Single Target Locust Swarm

i was wondering how you could create a single target locust swarm...cause i have no idea how to...

the spell should be like so:
you target the unit and the locusts chase after it, then after a short period, the locusts return to you and give you the hp, like locust swarm, only with ONE SELECTABLE TARGET...

how would you do this?

Have a dummy locust unit go to the targeted unit, wait until it reaches the unit by using a second trigger with the event - Unit In Range. Then order the locust to come back by using a third trigger and then just manually increase the life. Sorry, it's the best I can think of.

Well actually that's as good as you can do it. You'll need a dummy anyways so Daelin's way is best except i wouldn't say to limit it to a distance i would limit it to a duration.
