Shooting system ?

Hello people , if you ever played Death Evolution Tournament , which can be found here Death Evolution Tournament - The Hive Workshop - A Warcraft III Modding Site , maybe you can explain me , how did he create a shooting system like that ? With attack ground ability , or advanced trigger ? If you know , could you make a demo map or explain it ? I REALLY need it ;D

its a abilities like shockwave just a another model i think. and trigger for different attack.
