Forums Shared pastebins + dedicated page for warnings/infractions

Idea for a new forum? Is there an old dusty forum we don't need? Ideas for how to change a forum?

1. it would appear that there is no notification for when a pastebin is shared/new pastebin created listing you as collaborator
if it's not possible to link directly to the new paste the notification could just link to pastebin
additionally there doesn't seem to be a way to see all the collaborators unless you edit the pasta, maybe if it's only one person then keep it as is, if more than one then add an extra space after the header listing everyone

2. it would be nice to have a page that lists all the warnings and infractions, that would update as your infraction points accumulate/expire
could make it private or public or even add a toggle in settings
might as well steal the layout from XGM

EXAMPLE
DateModeratorSeverityCommentaryLinkExpiration date
2025-07-10 16:00Mod1WarningDouble posting<Link to merged post>N/A

TOTAL POINTS: 13 (4 over the limit)
STATUS: Buns in the oven

I don't think it is good to have warnings be visible to everyone. It is good that moderators and upper staff can see them and it would be good to be able to view your own - just for the transparency that Hive talks about so much.
That sounds like the perfect solution to me, making it that you can view your own sounds like a good way to keep track of where you stand in the community.

I also agree that not getting notifications when you are added as a collaborator to a pastebin sounds like a bit of an oversight in some ways, and would love to see that get added as a feature :)

On point number 2 the only counter argument I would make is it might inspire some people to try and be clever by accruing close to 10 points and then ensuring they don't go over in an attempt to subvert the purpose of warnings and then repeating the process once the points expire. If people don't know how many points they have then maybe they should just avoid rule breaking entirely.

Point number 1 seems perfectly valid however.

Making it so that if you get n of such expired warnings in 1(?)/n month(s) to get you banned, would deter users from being smart alecks.

To be fair, if they are that kind of user, they are probably going to try and find the limit one way or another. I think the site has been a lot better at managing undesirable behaviours for a while now, though, so maybe whatever they are doing now is working? I guess if it's not broke, then maybe it doesn't need a fix.
