shamanyouranus: Try using a gradient texture so the light can fade out the farther away it gets from the source. Check this if you don't know what I mean.

Nah this is the whole searchlight not only the light effect. A small update is coming right up.

Edit: if you got any ideas for modern doodads, please tell me! I've got an idea for 1 more doodad but I could still use some more. I'm gonna relase a pack and the theme is like, modern defense/security. With fence,barbed wire, watermine, searchlights, a roadblock etc. Currently need 5 more ideas.

I would request that the animation should be controllable, so you could use it as a REAL indicator for a map which is based on such searchlights (metal gear solid for example).

Like, you can set the facing of the model, and there the light faces too.

I have no idea how to make it work like that. Don't even think it's possible.

just make it's animation with light but no movement,
make it stand alternate!

and the stand alternate has no spinning
and make the spinning by:
the spinning is made by triggering!
and the lamp fitting, make it round so it's undetectable when it is rotated !

Actually you can just make so the light projector could face any point just like the cannon tower does. It's something with "head" or something... Or you can make so it would have no animations and you could just make it turn to one of sides with trrigers or whatever...

Nicely made. Can really impact a modern breakout of jail cinematic or just to make a place more serious looking. Very nice if you are going to use this for a jail or fortress.

This model is simple but neat, though it could use a small ball of light where the beam is coming from, like the light from the Marine's Armor.
