for some reason my labtop computer`s screen goes really dark all of a sudden(awhile after being started up) to where I can bearly see anything on it help please(on PsP)

Well i'd be surprised if it was this, but i might as well ask it - by any chance do you have a "power-saver" option on your laptop? i know my the light on the screen of my laptop can differ depending on which power setting it is on, and i'm sure it is possible for this to trigger when your power recents a certain percentage.
