Requesting Half-life Model Editor

I am looking for a half-life model editor i have milkshape but it doesn't allow me to open them and they are in a .mdl format.

By the way, does anyone have any suggestions for good Counter-Strike Mapping forums / websites? I could google it, but I probably wouldn't get the best of the best.

because the file i am editing is a half-life dbz model and i wont to give goku some spikes down his back so he'll be a spikey goku.

i play esf on half life.

and Tonks milkshake doesn't allow me to edit these files for somereason.

Have you looked at that tutorial? It probably explains some trick, or maybe yours is outdated.

well my milkshape tells me to register so i'll probley download a cracked one later.

there are diff types of mdl and mdx.

and just go to import>serious sam.mdl

that might work or ask the guys for a smd converter.

and refrain from illegal discussion please.

i tryed the mdl ones i saw and no work
and i shall later on in the future to refrain from talking about illegal downloading.

and smd convertor i guess i'll google it and know any other mdl editors then milkshape ?

milkshape is pretty much the standard from half-life, doom, quake etc.

Im sure it can support hl since 3 years ago i remember modding a rhinox thing from natural selection(hl mod). I think i used a converter..so..i dont know.

I didn't even look at Half Life models for more than five minutes, and I know how to import them.

Tools -> Half-life -> Decompile Normal HL MDL File...

But if I find you ripping models for use in WC3, you are DEAD.

RDZ says it all. Plus, if you download the Source SDK then modeling for Half Life 2 (which you should definetly get) becomes very, very easy and you don't have to outsource the work to 3rd party programs that cost the moneyzszsz!

i am installing half-life onto my laptop now so i can start modeling for half-life. because my laptop is used for modeling.
