Charon is just a guy on a boat according to this picture. I don't think that's a pretty good ref pic to show.

draw something yourself or describe it in parts, using different pictures to show what you want. Otherwise you're just gonna have to deal with whatever someone decides to throw at you. Have you thought of just using a villager though?
Remove the walk animation, and attach a doodad to his feet, and you should be set.

I dont like the Skeleton Mage as Charon, but the boat is a good model. I forgot about it.
