Hi!

There are some sounds in the sound editor that I would like to remove. It is these sounds for every race that says: "Work completed, Upgrade finished" etc.
I want to remove all of them. But they can not be deleted.

What is the most efficent way to get rid of these sounds?

Had the same problem just solved it.

I was browsing the forums looking for a solution to this when I read someones replaced sound wasnt working. Gave me the idea.

In the sound editor find the sound you want to mute.
Right-click and select Replace Internal Sound.

It will give you an Open a file window. Just right-click in the window New>Wav Sound.
Select your new sound and Open.

You might/should get a message saying that is not a valid sound, which is what you want. Since this "dud" sound doesnt play you have just muted the internal sound.

You could also import the dud sound with the import manager but then you have to type in the correct path name of the sound you want to mute.

Surprisingly it didnt crash my game.

Evem if you delete it, it will insist coming up, since it is triggered that way.
Anyway, try Game Interface - Sound - and the field you want modified. Remember to tick the "Use custom Game Interface".

problem is they don't allow you to choose a "Never/None" setting.

Create an empty notepad file and save it as 1.mp3 and 1.WAV. Then go to the sound editor and find your annoying sound, click on it and there will be a replace option. Replace it with your new empty sound, and that should do it. : > (Sometimes it only works with wav and sometimes it only works with mp3.)
