Help! I don't know how to remap a texture path so a model can use another skin! I need this so a duplicate model's skin doesn't override the skin in the system. I also need it to mess with the primitive models by Oinkerwinkle.
1. extract the model you want duplicates of from the mpq.
2. convert the mdx to an mdl
3. open up the file in notepad and look for textures and the path.
4. change the path shown to whatever you want, i suggest textures\something.blp (not actually something, but whatever you wanna put)
5. save and convert the fil back to .mdx
6. import both the new .mdx and the alternate skin you're using to your map.
7. change the path of the texture you imported to whatever you put as the path in step 4.
8. enjoy your duplicate model
