There are programs that can record stuff from a computer microphone input. This may or may not be a signal that contains the sound of voices.

Windows 7 comes with one built in. Matlab can do it as a function call. There are programs for Skype and other VOIP systems to record conversations. I am pretty sure there are GNU sound programs to do it as well.
