yes, I have to agree with Feugo, SR is a good move, and Rapid spin carries it out. Personally, I hate the idea o all those new abilities from the dream world, it just isn't right!

also, did you see that there is an Elecric monotype pokemon with levitate? (NO weaknesses!)

Sableye/Spiritomb also have no weakness. That floating eel can be taken down with Gastro Acid/Mold Breaker/Gravity. No big deal.

EDIT: Woah. Scrappy Swellow. Now Rotom and other Ghost Types in general must be aware when switching out to Facading Swellow.

Scrappy kind of makes Facade Swellow worse...seeing as how any pokemon are only worth using Facade if they have Guts.

edit: Everyone's going to start carrying Disable now, or should. And I can't believe they fucking buffed Toxic. It never used to miss when I used it lol.

took you long enough... it also means you can't IV breed them, so they are no good in a competetive environment

So, what do you guys think about Gen V remakes of Ruby/Sapphire? I mean, it's a trend so far (Gen. 3 = Red/Blue, Gen. 4 = Gold/Silver, Gen 5. =??). Especially now that Black and White have been out for about 2 months. Don't you think it's about time that the Pokemon company begins working on their next project?

Personally, I'd like Gen 3. remakes. They were probably one of the most enjoyable gen.'s to play for me. I also enjoyed the new Pokemon and their artwork and the story was a lot better than some small-time criminals or some crazy guy trying to take over the universe and employing introverted youths to do his bidding (sounds more like a cult than an actual evil organization tbh).

Anyway, what do you guys think about Gen. 5 remakes for Ruby and Sapphire?

have you played the games yet? They're way more enjoyable than any other generation in my opinion...sure, the pokemon are weird, but all pokemon are weird at first.

Yea, a lot of the early pokemon are generic and awful (those monkey things seem to be a slightly different take on the Eevee evolution chain, and they all suck equally), but the later pokemon additions are the BOMB, like Nadini and that Water/Ground thing, and the Fighting/Dark Pokemon and so on

Still nothing on a dinosaur, but they'll do for now

Every time i see black and white i want to puke.

I just want my Torchick.

You've been puking a lot lately.
Meh it seems the further they go on, the worse the design of the early pokemon get, though some of the later ones are starting to look better in the new one imo - really it can't get much worse then the D/P designs.

@Fuego

It's inevitable that they're going to try and cash in on their old crap again, doesn't matter how many remakes they make, people will still buy it (soon they'll probably make a third remake of the original, especially when the games are no longer compatible with the gba to ds transfer). Really I think the third generation games were best in the series imo, I just hope they change enough things around to actually warrant buying the new game.

They really will produce it with a new story. With FireRed/LeafGreen, they used a lot of backstory that was introduced in Pokemon Special during the Red/Blue/Green chapter. Same with HeartGold and SoulSilver going back to the Gold/Silver/Crystal chapters.

also, the more I've been reading, the more it sounds like Gen. 3 remakes won't come in Gen. 5.

You have to do what now?

This is what shits me off about pokemon
They have the original pokemon, which was do-able to finish. And it was fun. Then there was pokemon Gold and Silver. Still do-able, still a lot of fun, although you would need to trade with the original pokemon games if you wanted to catch them all. Additionally, it was introduced that you could evolve pokemon by trading them while they held certain items. Nothing too complicated.
Much the same for generation III, although it wasn't anywhere near as good as generation II imo. But then comes along generation IV. To evolve Eevee, for example, into Leafeon, it must level up in a certain area. A little bit random, do-able but still random. To evolve other pokemon, they have to level up knowing a certain move. Okay, that's also do-able. In fact, that's one of the easier additions. But then there's all the different ways of actually getting fossils and such, which was kinda lame.

And now this. Pokemon Ranger. That's disgusting. That's a Justin Bieber level of disgusting. I'm disgusted.
