...that the corruption of the Legion, like the Draenei, were transforming the Grouse into other creatures.

Even though they were fel corrupted beasts, they gained many benefits such as thumbs. These beasts embraced their new forms and aided the Grouse's forces greatly. These were named the Arakkoa, which translated in Ancient Grouse Tongue as "Shadow Blessed One". A war inbetween the Draenei - Orcish Wars between the Burning Legion and Grouse took place in the secretive mountains of Draenor. It lasted ten years and ended up in stalemate, with the Grouse able to live peacefully once again with the Burning Legion withdrawing. Though, twenty years later the Burning Legion attacked again and completely razed the Grouse Capital. In a desperate attempt to save his people, Illidin opened a portal which led them to verdant lands, but not the Emerald Dream. Being clearly inhabited by only wildlife and rich with resources, the Grouse made this their new home and befriended the natives. Unfortunately, not all of the Grouse were able to escape. A huge majority of these were the Arakkoa. They created numerous cities and befriended the other relatives of the Grouse (birds). They told stories of Illidin as the years passed, and his name was eventually changed to Terokk some time in history.
