Hi guys I've been working on a map : Pandaren RPG , not very appealing map I know but here are some screenshots from World Editor , I still need a storyline basicly done with 3 heroes sofar etc :p Well ya < Retarded Introduction I know :grin:
Anyway here are some World editor screenshots , criticize all you want don't be afraid call me a !@#$ if you want ,I just want this rpg to work and I think all the criticism would really help :) Thanks guys looking forward to your comments ;) ... Reducing screenshot quality due to size ...

Just checked the screenshots , bad quality but if you need higher quality to judege I'd be happy to post them :) :gg: really slow uploading wow...

There's quite some difference between good playable terrain and good art terrain, this one would get a 6/10 from me. It decent, a normal terrain and nothing special like imports or anything.

Things you could do.

1 - Use more tile varation (just 1 tile more, and here and there a blank spot without grass)
2 - Throw in more debris, more rocks, grass and other stuff.
3 - Don't raise the ground until its pointy. Its ugly.. If you want mountains or hills make the space much wider.
4 - If i am right this is playable, so creating some more space would be nice.
5 - You can also make the feeling you're in a more free world, you know. The tree walls to the left and right give the feeling you must follow the path, make it seem like you don't HAVE to follow the path but you actually must.
6 - Import trees and other doodads. It looks nicer, not to much but just some trees.
7 - Use fod, weather, and sky effects.
8 - You can also use special effect models to make you're terrain look better you only have to be creative.
9 - You can make trees and building that are supposed to be ruins stand like they are going to fall by editing they're pitch angle.
10 - Don't make one single flat area, let everything be a BIT evaluated and hilly, it gives a good expression when zooming.

First off.

Tile variation, it's not really that realistic that there's leaves everywhere.

Second, Weird trees for that tileset, big spike out of nowhere. Smooth it.

Okay updated some stuff (BTW THIS ISN'T The WHOLE TERREIN ONLY 50% OF IT) anyway ... having trouble with the trees ... Model doesn't seem to load even tho I tick "Light Weighted blah blah" off and on still doesn't work and all blp stuff are in correctly , anyway here are the updates , comments please :thumbs_up:

With all due respect, after you presented your first load of screenshots, I expected it to be another lousy terrain job that seemed rushed etc...

However, you've turned it all around - the amount of work you've done editing and improving the terrain is vast so gj gz gl :)

Wow Thanks Grim :)) , I've got to admit , alot of these guys helped :)) thanks man :)

edit : highly doubt I will release this map to public... I'm having some weird errors with it , When I host some people drop and I don't when they host it I drop and they don't I have no idea to fix that but I guess it will be a single player or (Lan, non online) map see'ing as it doesn't happen on lan ... I think it's the new patch oh well , it's still very fun and good experience working on it:)

I guess I can add some basic stuff xD

Introduction


Hero's
Battle Master
Info : Basic tank good at dealing damage and disrupting groups and extremely helpful supporter
Spells :
Power Aura : It's an aura which increases basic attack damage of nearby friendly's
Mastered Strike : Panda chooses weak spot of enemy and strikes with such force it results in a critical hit
Slice and Dice : When surrounded the Panda's weapon goes in a halfmoon slice damaging nearby enemies , helpful when surrounded
Lava Breath : Deals damage to enemies in a cone form , good for killing ranged units when surrounded by melee units
Taunt : It keeps enemy's off from killing your teammates(Needful for every decent tank xD)

Geomancer
Info : The Geomancer uses his surroundings to help allies or to use it against enemys
Spells :
Creeping Vines : Uses roots to fortify his enemy unit to the ground preventing it from moving
Frozen Orb : Launches a Magical orb which breaks upon enemies freezing and dealing damage over time
Meteor : Shoots down a rock from the sky which hits with such impact it combusts into multiple rocks damaging all nearby enemies
Tornado Spawn : Uses power of win to cause a tornado outbreak on the targeted unit , which prevents it from being able to see and damages it over time
Fire Armor : Forms a layer of magma around you or a fellow ally , when hit the attacking creatures weapon melts slowing it's attack speed

Wardancer
Info : A strong agile hero adept at killing single targets fast and good at disrupting ambushes.
Blood Rage : Sets the Wardancer into a blood frenzy increases his attack speed and movement speed

Heropanda(Name not specified yet--Help xD--)
Info : A panda trained in elements of nature , lightning , water , air and ice.
Spells :
Sea Aura : Forms a layer of coral around your nearby allies protecting it from lethal hits and reducing it's damage taken
Lightning Blast : Shoots a bolt of lightning at a enemy unit dealing damage and stunning it for a small period
Air Sphere : Forms a air tight bubble around the enemy unit which causes it from moving or attacking and deals damage over time.
Storm Strike : Shoots down a lightning bolt from the sky upon your enemy which deals damage to nearby enemies.
Ice Crown : Panda goes into a frenzy which makes him stronger and more effecient at combat

Nurse
Info : Support healer , very needed on your epic battle.
Spells :
Not yet created

Hero Panda--ninja--(Name not yet specified)--Help--XD
Info : Effecient stealth unit which is good at disrupting ambushes and tearing down large groups of enemies
