Is there some way to make a dummy unit spawn at the unit casting the spell and then ordering the unit to cast a spell facing the way the caster is? Basically, it looks like this:

Unit casts Shockwave, Dummy Unit is created, Dummy Unit casts Shockwave forward from the caster.

All I need is the facing angle for the Shockwave >>

Yeah.
You need to get the facing angle of the casting/triggering unit and than order the dummy unit to cast shockwave targeting position of triggering unit offset by 1(for example, but it better be something like 200) towards that degree.
Remember to clean up leaks.
