Hi

Isn't there another possibility to save/load heroes in a open rpg, then giving every item a number and then you have a very long code to give in. Isn't there a possibility with game-cache or scripts....?

Game cache doesn't work online and scripts won't help because they won't be able to load anything to have the hero

Hence, obscure random codes are the way to go
