I can, but it's really got to be yours :/
Best solution: don't protect them in the first place. It's not hard to deprotect them once you know how, so protecting is useless (unless you're optimizing the map).

WarCraft III main game should still be able to open it, unless the map contains incompatiable data (does not support new patch).
WorldEdit will not be able to open the map due to files being missing (deleted). Tools do exist to attempt to rebuild missing files but such tools are not supported by this site.
You can still modify the map by low level file interaction via your own scripts.
