How do you make it so when you hero picks up a weapon item, it can't gain the effect of another weapon item he picks up?

Note: I WANT the hero to be able to carry it, but have no effect on him.

Are you talking about items that do that inherently like orbs (they do not stack)? If you are not, you would need to create a system which does what you are describing, which would not be just a few simple lines of code. I would recommend you explain what you want more in-depth.

@2seksi I'm not talking about items that do so inherently. I want to make it like a rpg where you can only use one weapon at a time, but you can carry it.

BTW: I'm gonna try using campaign orbs as the base item instead
