how to make something where
if you summon a bear. it stays alive until killed. if you try to summon a second one, it kills off the first one?

why not just build your ability off of rexar's bear summon from the campaign? does exactly that...

The Spirit Wolves of the Far Seer also resummons existing wolves. Most instant summon abilities do that as far as I am aware.

Water Elemental is one of the few that does not.
