I think the control seems pretty okay there. The creator can walk and target flawlessly, means the control is fine.

Now we have sharpcraft with mouse native that allows us to create a real FPS game in wc3. I'm too lazy to make it tho, but maybe this video will encourage someone to create it. :) Will grants full support from me.

I knew the creator when this was worked on. And I was able to test it with people. The biggest issue with it, and the reason I think they stopped development was that there are some visual problems that are difficult to address in the WC3 engine, along with the character models you see in the actual game. I think it's innovative but nothing more than a novelty.

I remembered someone tried their best to fully contain a similar first person shooter map with the exact aesthetics of the AWSD movement, arrow key head navigation, and left and mouse click system that remarks the handling of the gun in the map.

However, due to "bugs" and lots of funky triggering work, it did not work out well, especially when version 1.26a came out that time it seems like the user stop continuing it. I did however approved it sometime but alas the user contacted me to reject and delete it due to the complex system that came crashing down.

Last time I recall the toggle movement was slow and hard to navigate, and yes it can only work for Singles based from the last map I checked out.

I believe some users out there are preparing anew course of such FPS in the matter, it will be difficult to be sure. But it can be done.

Buzz off, it's looking great.

The video is from 2008. This particular project is probably long dead.

Probably single player only.

Looks like it was multiplayer, but I wouldn't want to be a player other than the host in a map with arrow keys.

The base system isn't difficult to make. Changing angle and pitch is trivial, then you just need to draw a line from your camera to see if it hits a target, accounting for obstacles along the way using various methods.

It can be done, but be honest: would you play a remake of Call of Duty or Counter Strike in the Warcraft 3 engine?
