[Noparse] tags don't work

Noticed that this tag no longer works, and the text input boxes don't seem to respect \ as an escape character either:

[noparse]this text shouldn't be bold but it is![/noparse]
\tried to escape italics done via asterisks\

Haha, it changed with XenForo I believe. So like... many years ago
