Grim Batol: its dark legacy stretches back into the mists of Azeroth's past. But most know it as the site of a terrible tragedy -- where the vile orcs corrupted the hatchlings of the noble Dragonqueen, Alexstrasza, and used them as weapons of war. Though a band of heroes, led by the enigmatic mage, Krasus, defeated the orcs and freed the captive dragons, the cursed mountain stands as another ravaged landmark within the...
But now Krasus -- known to some as the red dragon Korialstrasz -- senses the malice of Grim Batol rising once more to threaten those he holds dear. Determined this time to confront this evil by himself, he is unaware of the quests that will draw others to Grim Batol and reveal the monstrous truth that could not only herald their deaths, but usher in a terrible new age of darkness and destruction...NIGHT OF THE DRAGON.

HEROES OF THE WORLD OF AZEROTH
MAIN CHARACTERS
Iridi; Draenei Priestess
draenei1a.png

ridi was a draenei priestess and an apprentice, along with her unnamed draenei friend, to an unnamed naaru in Outland. When they finished their studies, they were each given a powerful staff by the naaru. They eventually made their way to Azeroth with the hopes of using their power to help people. When Iridi's comrade was murdered by Vereesa Windrunner's cousin Zendarin - who in the process stole the staff from the corpse of the draenei - Iridi took upon herself the task of traveling to Grim Batol in order to retrieve the stolen staff. However, this quest expanded far beyond a stolen staff.
After arriving at Grim Batol, Iridi teamed up with Vereesa, Rhonin, Grenda, Rom, Kalec, and Krasus to prevent the black dragon - Deathwing's former consort - Sintharia from creating the twilight dragonflight. Within Grim Batol, Iridi found the chained nether dragon Zzeraku - whom Sintharia and Zendarin planned to feed to a twilight dragon, Dargonax. When everything seemed doomed, Iridi was successful in freeing Zzeraku so that he could battle and hopefully destroy Dargonax. After Zzeraku's draining battle with Dargonax, it appeared that the nether dragon would not be able to defeat the twilight dragon. Iridi gave all of her staff's power, and in the end almost all of her own, to empower Zzeraku. Even with the combination of the staff's and Iridi's power, Zzeraku was unsuccessful in fighting Dargonax and was devoured by the latter. In one last desperate hope to slay the twilight dragon, Iridi - with help from Rhonin, Vereesa, Krasus, and Kalec — used the last of her energy to destroy Dargonax. The major loss of power in the end proved too much for Iridi. After telling the group that she found that she wished to see Outland one last time, Iridi died knowing that she had played a large part in saving Azeroth. Granting Iridi's last wish, Kalec took her body to Outland to bury her.

Vereesa Windrunner; High Elf Ranger and Lover to Rhonin

While she and her husband, Rhonin, were preparing for the birth of their twin offspring, Giramar and Galdarin, Rhonin was once again summoned by Krasus for help. As a reward for Rhonin's courage, Nozdormu allowed Rhonin to return to Vereesa at the moment she went into labor to ensure he would not miss a moment of the twins' lives. Nozdormu also offered the children the friendship of the bronze dragonflight. A human named Jalia assisted in the birth. Her cousin Zendarin, a blood elf who hated humans, tried to kidnap her children as he believed the offspring of a high elf and a human mage would have a lot of magic power. He failed in this attempt.
She appears again in the novel Night of the Dragon, where she braved the depths of Grim Batol, seeking revenge on Zendarin. Zendarin sought to steal the Demon Soul (possibly as an alternate magic source having failed to take Dargonax, or as a secondary objective), the foul creation of Deathwing that had been destroyed by Rhonin years earlier. He would have pulled it off if not for Vereesa's intervention, which resulted in the destruction of the Demon Soul — and of Zendarin himself — when the stolen staff of the Naaru touched the artifact. Vereesa also assists Iridi, a draenei priestess, in destroying Dargonax, as redemption for Zendarin's murder of Iridi's comrade.

Rhonin Draig'cyfail; Leader of the Kirin Tor and Lover to Vereesa

In more recent years, Rhonin has found himself in the position as the leader of the Kirin Tor and Dalaran, having been approached by the Kirin Tor in desperation. In Rhonin's own explanation to Iridi, "the Alliance is still looking to Dalaran for a lot and the wizards are looking for me to think different than they've been doing for the past several hundred years." However, even though all he really wants is to be with his family, his sense of responsibility impels him from ever abandoning such important roles, or his people.Much like Tirion Fordring, he is still loyal to the Alliance despite its recent hostilily against the Horde.
Rhonin attended the wedding of Malfurion and Tyrande along with his family. At his offering, he and his accompaning magi from Dalaran created a series of magnificent rainbows in the night sky, which marked the ten millennia of his friends' relationship. As with Korialstrasz, who later appeared with Alexstrasza, it was quite clear that Rhonin would not have missed this pivotal moment for anything.
He is apparently able to speak or translate Ursine. He has also become a skilled swordsman from his experience during the Legion invasion.

Korialstrasz/Kraus; Red Dragon and Consort to Alexstrasza

Appears to be a high elf wizard of extreme confidence, secure in his power and rank among the council. His very presence commands respect, and yet he is not proud or haughty. He remains in his elven form almost exclusively, transforming into a dragon only for special reasons or when in the presence of others of his kind. Those few who know his true nature have agreed to keep it a secret.
Krasus remains in his elven shape as long as possible during battle, revealing his dragon form only if desperate. He almost never shows his great strength in physical combat, preferring instead to fight with the spells and other arcane powers at his disposal. Should he choose to show his dragon side, he takes to the air swiftly, using his breath weapon and spell-like abilities to speed his escape. For all his strength and power, he is actually quite inexperienced in draconic combat. After all, he’s had little opportunity to practice during his decades of roaming the surface of Azeroth in humanoid form.

Kalecgos/Kalec; Blue Dragon and Future Ruler of the Blue Dragonflight

Following the loss of Anveena, Kalec became brooding and depressed, finally being sent away from the Nexus on an errand to investigate Grim Batol after starting more than one fight with his fellow blues. Kalecgos was not only upset by losing Anveena, but also by his lord Malygos's more recent stance on mortals and their handling of magic, one he appears to disagree with. At Grim Batol, Kalecgos encountered the red dragon Korialstrasz. At first, Kalec's attitude towards the consort of Alexstrasza was bitter and antagonistic; he blamed Krasus for his constant interference, and particularly for giving Anveena the illusion of life knowing how it would end.
In Grim Batol's halls, Kalec and Krasus discovered the black dragon Sintharia, now known as Sinestra, creating a new flight of dragons. Working together, oftentimes begrudingly, the two dragons with the assistance of Rhonin, Vereesa Windrunner, Rom, the draenei priestess Iridi, and the nether dragon Zzeraku, they overcame Sintharia and her creation, the twilight dragon Dargonax. Iridi perished in the final battle, and Kalec took it upon himself to return her body to Outland. When asked by Krasus if Malygos would allow him to go to Outland, Kalec replied that - permitted or not - he was going anyway; to see Outland once more was Iridi's dying wish, and she deserved to be buried there.
It is not known where Kalecgos went after that, nor the stance he takes during the Nexus War. However, it is likely he chose to not follow Malygos' orders - his distaste for the Aspect's decision to purge all mortal spellcasters was made clear to Korialstrasz.

Rom; Leader of some Grim Batol Dwarves

Was a dwarf who helped Vereesa Windrunner and Falstad Dragonreaver in the book Day of the Dragon. He saved them from cannibalistic trolls, and then helped them reach the outside of Grim Batol through dwarven tunnels. He had a talisman which allowed him to communicate with Krasus, which he later gave to Vereesa, in order to be guided by the dragon mage. During the Second War, Rom's clan was left with forty-seven members where once they numbered in the hundreds. He participated in the Battle of Grim Batol with other hill dwarves alongside four of the Dragon Aspects against the orcs, and also Deathwing when he arrived to take advantage of the situation.
Years later, he was sent some time during the Burning Crusade by Magni Bronzebeard to discover what was going on at Grim Batol. As a veteran of the Battle of Grim Batol and his command experience, he was the perfect choice. He was later questioned by Vereesa about why he looked older than he should, to which he confided to her and Iridi that it was due to the evil inside Grim Batol. Veterans like himself had aged quicker and a good many had died before their time. He killed, and was in turn killed by, the drakonid Rask during the recent incident involving Dargonax.

Zzeraku; Nether Dragon

At some point after Zzeraku was one of many nether dragons that swarmed through the Dark Portal into Azeroth upon the portal's reopening. The blue dragonflight met the invaders and destroyed every last one, confident there had been no survivors. But Zzeraku had been taken captive without their knowledge. The former consort of Deathwing, Sintharia, had used a crysalun chamber to trap the wayward nether dragon.
Sintharia, now calling herself Sinestra, little by little fed the nether dragon to her newest creation, the twilight dragon Dargonax. Zzeraku, immobilized deep within Grim Batol, suffered greatly but refused to have his will broken. He was inspired by the draenei priestess Iridi's attempts to free him, and flew into a rage when he saw harm done to her - breaking free of his bonds and engaging the twilight dragon in a battle that led them out of the halls of Grim Batol. There Dargonax fully absorbed the dying Zzeraku, who had decided to try and save Iridi at the cost of his own life. His sacrifice was not in vain however: He catalyzed the minor defective part within the twilight dragon that Iridi and her allies were able to exploit and finally defeat Dargonax.

MINOR CHARACTERS
Magni Bronzebeard; King of Iron Forge

The eldest of the three Bronzebeard brothers, Magni was destined to be the king under the mountain. Strong of arm and keen of mind, Magni loved his two brothers above all else in the world. From the time of his youth, Magni the prince was keenly aware of what would be expected of him in the future. This apparently intimidated him and he questioned if he could be the kind of leader Ironforge needed. He even privately wished that his father and brothers would outlive him, and thus their people would have a good king.
To look upon the tower of strength and effective leader that King Magni is today, one can scarcely imagine that he was ever a prince full of doubt.
He was one of the heroes during the Second War, often directly leading his people into battle. Upon the liberation of Ironforge by the forces of the Alliance of Lordaeron he pledged his kingdom's support, his two brothers accompanying the Alliance host.

Illidan Stormrage; Lord of Outland and Ruler of the Illidari -Mentioned

Was the self-proclaimed Lord of Outland, ruling from the Black Temple. He was born a night elf, and as stated by Maiev Shadowsong, became "neither demon nor night elf, but something more". He was the twin brother of Malfurion Stormrage and was in love with Tyrande Whisperwind. Once an unusually gifted sorcerer, the extent of his powers became difficult to classify due to his powers increasing in large bursts as a demon hunter and having absorbed the powers of the Skull of Gul'dan.
His pursuit of power and arcane mastery led him to commit a number of horrific acts against his own people and the races of Azeroth, including defecting to Sargeras during the War of the Ancients and creating the second Well of Eternity. For his actions, he was imprisoned for ten thousand years, until his release during the Third War. He came to be called the Betrayer for his acts against the night elf people and carried the title of Lord of Outland. Seeking to bring down her erstwhile prisoner, Maiev allied with Akama to invade the Black Temple, where she cornered Illidan in his inner sanctum and struck him down, bringing an end to one of the most tragic stories in Azeroth's history.

Sylvanas Windrunner; The Banshee Queen of the Forsaken -Mentioned

Once the Ranger-General of Silvermoon, Sylvanas Windrunner was murdered by the death knight Arthas and brought back as a creature of undeath. After regaining her free will she rebelled against the Lich King and the Scourge and became the founder of the Forsaken faction of undead, who are allied with the Horde. She has styled herself the Dark Lady, Queen of the Forsaken, an expansion of her original title, "the Banshee Queen".

Alleria Windrunner; High Elf Ranger of the Alliance Expedition to Draenor -Mentiond

After the damage that changed Draenor into Outland had been done, Alleria, Turalyon, Khadgar and the rest all returned to the orcs' homeworld. They set out to return to Honor Hold, which was still standing even after the chaos that had occurred on Draenor. However, although Khadgar, Danath Trollbane, and a few other heroes from this time are present in Outland, and players may interact with them, neither Alleria nor Turaylon are anywhere to be found, leaving their current whereabouts a mystery.

Balacgos; Blue Dragon Caretaker

Was an elder offspring of the great aspect Malygos. As a caretaker of magic, Balacgos created a cerulean cube to deal with the unharnessed latent magic energy found throughout Azeroth, in an effort to keep it out of the hands of undisciplined practitioners of the arcane. The cube was designed to absorb such magic and hold it in reserve till a time the blue dragonflight had need of it. But Balacgos miscalculated and upon activating the cube the device absorbed his magic, leaving the dragon a lifeless husk. The cube came to be known as Balacgos's Bane.

Anveena Teague; Essence of the Sun Well -Mentioned

Appeared to be a kind and beautiful peasant girl from Tarren Mill. Unbeknown to anyone, she was in fact not a human at all, but rather the remaining energies of the Sunwell transfigured into the form of a human avatar by the red dragon Korialstrasz.

Grenda; Royalist to Rom's Group of Dwarves

Grenda was one of the dwarves under Rom's command and his second-in-command, that stayed near Grim Batol after the event's in Day of the Dragon (even though she was not mentioned in Day of the Dragon). When Rom's group of warriors and Vereesa Windrunner tried to hold of an attack by fire elementals, a hole appeared and some of the dwarven warriors fell down (including Rom). Grenda, Vereesa, and what was left of the group was captured, and when they escaped, she assumed command over the dwarves. After the battles at Grim Batol in Night of the Dragon, she left, along with the other surviving dwarves, to report what happened wthin the mountain and she had her feelings for Rom, which started in respect for him, but ended up something more.

VILLAINS OF THE WORLD OF AZEROTH
Sintharia/Sinestra; Queen of the Black Dragonflight and Consort of Deathwing

Gathering up what shards of the Demon Soul she could find and Balacgos's Bane, Sinestra used these relics, along with the eggs of various flights she had collected over the centuries and the captured nether dragon Zzeraku, to create the twilight dragonflight. Despite Sinestra's claim that the experiment had been her idea, it was revealed that Deathwing had planted the idea in her mind, just as the Old Gods had convinced Deathwing to forge the Demon Soul. One of the first of these new twilight dragons was Dargonax, whom she considered to be her child.
Her old nemesis Korialstrasz, along with others such as Zzeraku, the blue dragon Kalecgos, the wizard Rhonin, Vereesa Windrunner, and the draenei priestess Iridi, put a stop to her operation. When Dargonax's already unstable powers finally destabilized, he burned away, taking his "mother" with him. Korialstrasz believed that Sintharia's last, angered glance may have been at him.

Zendarin Windrunner; Cousin Windrunner and Supporter to Sintharia

Was the blood elf cousin of the Windrunner sisters, who allied himself with the black dragon Sinestra in an attempt to create the twilight dragonflight. As a child Zendarin dreamed of rising among the ranks of the high elves, and become a strong and powerful noble. When the Sunwell was destroyed, Zendarin's hunger for magic caused him to become a blood elf. Zendarin unsuccesfully tried to kidnap Rhonin and Vereesa's twin sons, Galdarin and Giramar, because he thought the offspring of a high elf and a human wizard would be powerful. Zendarin despised humans, thinking them as little more than animals, and didn't put much higher opinion of Vereesa (and likely also of Alleria), who had married and had children with a human.
Though Zendarin helped Sinestra create the twilight flight in the promise of being shown new sources of magical energy to sate his addiction, he had his own reasons for allying with her: he secretly wished to take control of Dargonax as a magic source and his own personal dragon, and tried to do so with a final feeding to make him his slave. Sinestra had foreseen all however, and simply made Zendarin's betrayal a part of her plans, which resulted in his failure and escape from the hungry twilight dragon. Zendarin then sought to steal the Demon Soul (possibly as an alternate magic source having failed to take Dargonax, or as a secondary objective), the foul creation of Deathwing that had been destroyed by Rhonin years earlier. He would have pulled it off if not for Vereesa's intervention, which resulted in the destruction of the Demon Soul - and of Zendarin himself - when the stolen staff of the Naaru touched the artifact.

Dargonax; Creation of Sintharia

Created from a dragon egg infused with the energies of a captured nether dragon, Dargonax rapidly grew into a gargantuan beast nearly equaling the Dragon Aspects themselves in size. His ambition and cunning grew along with his body, and soon he harbored a desire to overthrow his "mother" and conquer the world for himself. He was eventually defeated when the nether dragon Zzeraku sacrificed his life in order to fatally destabilize Dargonax's physical form.

FAQ:
What will this campaign feature?
You get to play as a Draenei Priest at some of the beginning of the campaign, and you get to command a group of dwarves as well, but later on you get to control more heroes and use them against the enemy forces on which you need to defeat.

What will the campaign be? Like RTS, RPG, TD, Etc.
RTS and RPG. You get to command a group of units and use your heroes that you collect and train for more experience.
Later on you just use your heroes and use them to destroy the villains of the project.

How will this turn out? Meaning well, the characters being explained and having on how they are used and thought about.
It will be excellent, featuring a lot of good heroes and villains for you to control, but you get more heroes than units.
The project will also feature your talents against powerful bosses and having to train up your hero to get the requirement to face the larger enemies and finally the end baddie of the project.
Not revealing anything yet, but it doesn't mean anything about the project, and every hero and the villains will get their own chances on which powerful they are and sometimes can be weak on certain conditions.
I'll make sure there a way to bypass this and let people to train the hero in their own way, but still having to make sure they don't do it to kill the hero and having to restart.
I'm looking forward to this and hoping the project will a lot of people back to the fold.
