New Rpg, does it have Potential?

Ok so im kinda new to the world edit and hive, Ive always done a few edits to melee maps like 9999stat items and stuff but thats about all i could really do, each time id click the trigger icon id have a heart attack, Ive seen alot of rpg maps on battle net and never enjoyed one of them so now im creating my own. I bet your all thinking oh no not another nub makin some crappy map lol, Well thats fair but ive done alot of searching on hive here and read alot of tutorials so I feel comfortable making this map, its been in progress probly 6 days now. What I Would like is A few opinions from the pros, and RPG fans, I need to know from people with experience wheather this map has potential or not, Does it look as though it may be fun to play? or is this already heading down hill.

All feedback is much appreciated, Btw im aware of alot of people that have alot of things to say that are "un called for" Dont bother with that garbage here please im well aware of the fact I have alot to learn:) so nothing Ive done here is close to being great.. yet

Umm some features so far.. This stuff wasnt easy for me to do so if its crap right now, It will improve as my skill does.

Enterable structures, No not using seperate areas of the map with an interior made, I mean you see a building and actually walk in A door (WoW Style)
Buy spells of your choice from "Class Specific" Trainers and buy spell levels as you grow levels your self, (Kind of like WoW)
Advanced terraining, Using fogs and weather effects while trying to keep the traditions of my old map (i.e, The visability is minimal so your constantly walking into the unknown)
Heros Revive at Grave Yards corresponding to the region, (i.e, If A hero dies in Crute, Its revived a short while after in Crutes Graveyard)
Buildings Have Doors That Open as you touch them to enter and close as you leave the building, Not just gaps to walk into sadly like WoW, (Lol why didnt they have doors?)
Outside weather doesnt effect indoor places evan if player one is inside and player 2 is outside.
Saving and Loading is possible (thanks to Acehart)
Creeps revive enzactly where you found them if they were killed
Each hero has a secondary inventory to swap to at any time
Item crafting, Use ores and stones to craft armor and weponry, Flowers and fauna to brew potions and much more

Here are some screenshots on its current progress and stuff that looked good, (Nothing has been purposly added to make screenshots more appealing, everything you see is whats in my map enzactly the way its shown) Exept the first picture the human wizard and female are not ingame, I was planing to make a load screen out of that

Yes i feel i can do it, my issue is i spend 4 hours doing something, i.e Adjusting the fog so that when you use the 3rd person view (if you did) it looks like its really appealing, I start to wonder is this alright? does it really look good ? lol i stare at my own work for so long i begin to resent it, thats the reason i need to get some opinions of rpg players, to know if this maps heading the right direction.

don't work in game, What is ment by that, so far I have been using test map option in world edit

i think what he means is, why not just upload a screenshot when we're not to test the map or anything?

Good idea

Didnt evan occur to me to post screenshots, im still very new to all this lol, ok so up top I have posted some screen shots on the starting region of my map, and A small fraction of the inside to the castle, What those images display represent 4 to 5% completion of my map. Now for the Ultimate question, does this seem like something that would be enjoyable to play and want to explore? or does this look to be turning out as a dud..

Lol, i see you found my RPG Castle map i released awhile back.

Im currently using that terrain in my RPG also, I hope you at least give credit for making the castle and the triggers for doors opening/closing.

Yes lol, I found your map template, I was reading the comments and was disapointed to see what people thought of it, when i had a look at your stuff it was truly awsome, the whole enterable buildings concept of my map came from it, I was unable to leave you a comment at the time but I gotta say it was really good, I was impressed to see the amount of work you put into each building, as for credits, yes they will be given 100%, I kept your castle the same as it was when i found it with an ingame message that displays on entry so hopefuly people can appreciate your work as I did.

as for triggers.
They worked well but not as I needed them, Once I looked around a few turorials I relised you had A really advanced way of making the stuff happen as to what I would have done, none the less i had to remove your triggering as it didnt really suit how my game will be played in a sence, it seemed as though yours was more of a single player theme, with overhead view, It worked well for that but I had to make new triggers to support 4 players using 3rd person cameras.

Yeah when i made triggers it was for single player overhead cam type of game.

When i first seen this post i thought OMG someone stole my RPG map then i realized i had posted the map of my castle terrain for people to download months ago.

It didnt get the response i was looking for but im glad it inspired someone and i dont mind if others use it in there maps.

i perssonaly never liked ORPGs, they are repetetive and the gameplay sucks anyway, and i'm not happy to tell you that your map sounds exactly like the others.
with all the respect to "buildings that you can acoutly enter", that wont make the map more fun.
try and be diffrent and original.

this is what i was worried about, I never liked orpg maps just for this reason, Im trying to add freedom to the map so as its not just basic kill and move on kind of crap that you always see, Items are cool but you need more than that as a goal, Ive added little things to the map that might make it more appealing like, the more quests you do for a certain person or place the more they have to offer, and if you where to quest for an enemy of a certain place for long enough then you will be hated by one place but not the other which will have growing benifets now that youve helped them. You can kill random villagers but guards close by will hunt you for it, unless you kill everything, important stuff respawns like quest givers and trainers, shops to. Hopefuly small things like this will make it more enjoyable,

If this map ends up bein rubbish I dont mind its kinda fun to do, maybe ill create something better in the future.

you'll put alot of time into this map, it should atleast end up a good one.

you can give people aligmnets (good vs evil) by the things and quests they do and give people control over some units. that's what the wc3 engie does best.

(and now i see i got bad rep for being rude at some other ORPG and not giving constructive crict >.<)

Visual Change

I have made A change to the map, This may be a filesize problem later but I found Some Interface skins and have used them in my map, Ive also used custom icons for the armor and attack types (all heros are different there is no hero attack and hero armor I found it to be too plain) I changed the Strength, Agility and Intelligence icons as well as the commands such as Move, Stop, Attack and patrol.

I havent got a screen yet of this but if any one will be willing to comment it ill post one up.

Ok I was fiddling around with item balence in game and took a few pics of the new Interface as well one pick with a real weird scene happening (in game)

Also you may notice in All the pictures minimap is blacked out, This is so that you cant see how little is really done right now (playtime might be around an hour) region level 1-5 is done, 5-10 in progress
Overall 6%
