New resources type?

It is possible to add a new resource type, I have been looking in a number of boards and haven't found an answer yet. What I want to do is add two new resource types other that terrazine or custom, in addition to the minerals vespene gas resources.

Bump for intrest, I also want to use a doodad as the resource being mined.

No. You can't add others. But you can use the 4 existing ones. You can modify their icon by replacing it (Importing an icon with the name of the existing icon) and by modifying their text in the Text Editor.

How would you go about getting the terrazine or custom resource to come up as an icon with minerals and gas? I havn't had a look as my comps broken at the moment, but can you use these other resources as costs for units?

scroll down to RACE
choose your race and edit the SHOW RESSOURCE data.

after you simply have to add cost and ressource node.
