New game feature: Portals

A circle of power has been added to every town. These circles are teleporters if you will.

You can buy a portal scroll for 75g (subject to change). Any payer can place this portal scroll in the world, this will auto link all the circle of powers to this new destination. This means, only one portal destination can be active at a time.

What does this mean? As you progress deeper into the game, you can setup a mobile waypoint so when a raid wipes deep within a place like, twins, or murton, you dont have to take ages to walk back, and have problems with the non healer clothies dying or so on.

Once placed, this portal does NOT go away when the people who casted it uses the way point. It becomes permanent until another destination is dropped

Badass. great idea for total wipes. Will they be placeable inside boss fights like say the Knight dude that has the barricade when you start the encounter? if so that will make him REALLY really easy.

I think since you stated some reasons you can answer this question yourself :)

No they won't
Tp scrolls are also not allowed during bossfights, so portal will neither be.


But maybe @Vex you will do something to prevent players from rejoining into boss fighting areas?
- because portal will allow them to rejoin very fast if placed e.g. before the portal to the twins.

nope, rejoining the fight is the major point to these portals

makes bosses smoother and more forgiving, besides, if your tank dies before he can get back there, others will die too (especially on legendary mode)

So true. But i would like portals to be a little bit more expensive, lets say 150g. It would prevent ppl from casting them all the time. And one more thing. A portal might be opened in Grom'tol, and a characher from Tol'calm can enter it. This leads to avoiding the Barrens gate, avoiding the magical barrier, avoiding the lvl requirements for teleports ( 11 lvl, 26 lvl - if i remember correctly) ====> POWERleveling

just like when you get too high lvl, exp is reduced, when the monster is too high for you, exp is reduced
