Im trying to zoom in on a unit at a specific angle and closeness so i set a camera for that.
  • Camera - Apply without panning zoom cam <gen> for Player 1 (Red) over 0.00 seconds
and this works great for when i wanna zoom in on a unit that isnt flying, but when the triggering unit is a air unit the camera is too low..
  • Camera - Pan camera for Player 1 (Red) to (Position of triggering unit) with height (Current flying height of triggering unit) above the terrain over 0.00 seconds
i tried this but doesnt work.. how can i make it so i can zoom in close to any units and have the camera target that unit regardless of its height elevation.

didnt remove leaks becuz this was only for quick testing

Man this is how i 'stand u

So you want to your camera get close to unit is very simple

  • Events
  • Conditions
  • Actions
    • Camera - Pan camera for Player 1 (Red) to (Position of YourUnit) over 0.00 seconds
    • Camera - Set Player 1 (Red)'s camera Distance to target to ((Current flying height of YourUnit) + 100.00) over 0.00 seconds
It should work and its how I have stand you, if you was thinking something else just tell me

yea i tried that with a flying unit and it still doesnt see it, but also thats not what i was going for. the reason i need a camera is because i dont just want to zoom in.

I want the front close up view of the unit. I dont want the normal overhead wc3 view it needs to zoom a close up on the unit facing the front of them. So i had that camera set in that way, and that works good, only problem is when there is a flying unit i need the camera to be elevated to that height in that case.

Use Camera - Set Camera Field (Timed) as your function and inside it, select the Height Offset, it should be Z coordinate of your current camera can be set to a flying height of your flying unit

  • Camera - Set Player 1 (Red)'s camera Height Offset to (Current flying height of YourUnit) over 0.00 seconds
